Life saver! Mar 13, 2012
By AmandaB So I have the left side mirrors as well and I would not feel nearly as safe riding my bike to and from work everyday without these mirrors. I initially thought I only needed the left mirror but when I had to use the left turn lane, I discovered that the right mirror comes in handy too. These mirrors are literally a life saver because you can see the vehicles coming up behind you and get over if it looks like they may not see you. They work great and they look pretty cool on my bike too!

Overpriced & average optical quality, but hinge prevents damage Dec 09, 2011
By Jim T
"Jim T"
The mirror is overpriced for what it is and the optical quality of the reflective coated plastic is not nearly as good as, for example, a Mirrycle or Busch & Muller Cyclestar mirror. This reduces the distance you can recognize if a motor vehicle is behind you, determine the motor vehicle type, see it is pulling a trailer, etc.
Its important virtue is that it is hinged with a detent for the riding position. This allows you to fold it back out of the way, preventing damage when your bike is in narrow spaces such as a garage, a crowded bike rack, etc. much better than fixed position mirrors. And that is exactly why I keep it on the utility bike but have better mirrors on the non-utility bikes.
Bike Mirrors that really WORK! May 05, 2012
By yikesyorkies I found installing the mirrors very easy and loved how they can fold out of the way when not in use. I also rely on how adjustable they are for viewing traffic behind me. I am a novice bike rider. I ride 6 miles 4 times weekly and the mirrors make me feel more safe. My husband uses the same mirrors and rides to and from work daily over 6 miles 1 way! He expressed that he likes how the mirrors function and states that help make his travel more safe.
Nice mout, but bad mirror Apr 05, 2012
By J. D. Nicholson The mount is nice. It gives you vision when riding with a moutain bike style handlebar then swings out of the way for getting through doors & for storage. HOWEVER, the mirror is absolute garbage. I like the mount so much, I'm not sending it back. However, I'm going to get a decent mirror and glue it over the provided mirror.
The detent for positioning the mirror is a great idea but badly implemented. It feels super cheap. I have no idea how many times I can swing this mirror in & out of place. I was hoping they had used a spring loaded mount or one that uses a copper spring to provide the detent. But it feels like they implemented the design in plastic. I'll have to see how long it lasts.
