amazingly warm for cold weather running! Jan 19, 2007
By AK I just bought these tights so I could start running in very cold temperatures (10-20 degrees, sometimes subzero). These pants do an amazing job of keeping me warm on my run. They are somewhat thick to keep you warm but they do not weigh you down or restrict movement. They are designed to wick away moisture but my legs do not sweat much so I cannot comment on that feature. They are also very tight and I believe they are meant to be layered underneath a pair of warm-up pants. (At least, that's what I do.) I am 5'3" and the legs are a little long; they are probably ideal for someone between 5'5" to 5'8".

Comfortable for running and keeps you warm! Dec 17, 2007
By J. Becker Bought these $50 tights for my 16 yo cross-country runner who averages 40 miles a week. Live in Seattle area, so winters average in 30s and 40s and are WET (surprise!). She really liked them and said that they kept her warm without making her hot, and didn't chafe - she didn't really notice them while she was running.
I was worried about the elastic at the bottom - I thought she would object to that - but she said her friend told her that the way to wear the tights is to pull them down over the heel so that they actually go in the shoe. That worked well for her plus her ankles were warm, too. She has long legs, by the way, but she had no trouble pulling the stretchy material down the extra distance.
I was going to buy her a pair of $70 tights at the local REI, so I saved $20 and am very happy!

Great if you have super small ankles Sep 04, 2009
By rsvkav These are great with one problem-they fit well and felt like they would be warm but the ankles were soooooo tight that I couldn't keep them. I have small ankles-I am 5'8" and weigh 128 lbs. I know they are compression tights but it felt like they would have cut off circulation or cut into my skin. I tried pulling them down over my foot a little but still too tight on my foot. I think a bigger size would be too big everywhere else. I will have to try something else.

Under Armour Cold Gear Tights Live Up To Name Jan 18, 2009
By Andrea K. Nolan I've never used running tights before,as I've always used shorts or sweatpants. I've only been running since last spring and was hesitant to run in cold weather. After trying the Under Armour I was surprised how how warm I stayed and how comfortable they were to run in. Being on the short side (5'2"), sweats tend to gather around my ankles, slowing me down. I felt like my speed improved and I wasn't distracted by the fit. They did what they claimed, and I have enjoyed running in the cold, more than I ever expected!

Lower Heat Bill Nov 24, 2008
By Hope4Change
"Audaciously Possible"
These are not only good for winter running. Wear them under your unlined jeans and dress pants amazingly they help in lowering the heat bill inside. Albeit when you are visiting elderly relatives for the Holidays, they may get a tad warm. The technology retains your body heat when you go outside in the cold of winter. I now love taking winter hikes even in the below freezing days of midwestern winters.
