Cheaper than ever. Apr 05, 2009
By --NonaB I buy a new ball retriever about every few years (as they do eventually wear out) and I perfer the orange ring type. This last January I purchased a new Wilson 18 foot retriever. About the fourth time I had it on the course (about 2 months later) it just fell in half while being extended (without any unusual force). It is now almost worthless and it is too late to be returned. I suggest you spend a little more money and get a better retriever.

How not to package a golf retriever! May 03, 2008
By Jimmy R. Grubbs I ordered 4 of these together and all four received in separate boxes and they were all good. After receiving these I have ordered four more separately. They all came poorly packaged and broken. Amazon was good in refunding my money, but I have not received a retreiver. These retreivers are very easy to break because of the way they are designed and made. They are very easily broken if package poorly which these last 4 were. Sorry, but this is what happened and I still don't have a retreiver.

Wilson 18-foot golf ball retriever Oct 07, 2007
By Sam King This ball retriever is a very good value for the money. It's well constructed, and easy to open and close. It fits nicely in my golf bag, isn't too heavy, and the brightly colored head is easily visible in deep water.

The best club in my bag! Jun 25, 2007
By Just wanting stuff that works! This thing is awesome - and must be one section longer than most of the competitors. I've picked up more than 300 balls since buying this - and love it! Don't know how it could be better, I've already sent some of the balls I've rescued to friends - and get to keep the ProV1's for my own play! Two thumbs up.

poor quality doom this product Oct 15, 2009
By David T. Dorfman I do a lot of golf ball hunting and this retriever is simply not up to the challenge of heavy use. I'm sure it would be fine for the occasional retrieval, but if you plan on using it a lot, expect it to break down pretty quickly
