5Great Winter Patrol Socks  Jan 20, 2008 By C. Smith
I am a police officer and I purchased these socks for cold winter nights. Any police officer who has been stuck on a perimeter knows what it is like to stand still for hours on end in a back yard at 2 am in winter. I've worn these socks with Danner patrol boots so I assume the combination of the two is what has kept my feet so warm. Regardless, they are all I will ever purchase now.

PROS:
Very warm
Comfortable and thick

CONS:
Holes after 1 year (for 7 bucks each who cares)
Tend to smell after the night is over

5Do a good job keeping my feet warm  Nov 04, 2008 By S. Reichman
I use them as an over-sock while riding my motorcycle. I use layers and the wigwam sock is the outside layer (of three) before the insulated boot.

So far I've used them riding during 28 degree days with riding speed of 40-45 the wind chill is 9 degrees and my feet are still warm. I belive this is attributed to the wigwam sock layer. I've tried others with a lesser result.

Very satisfied.

5GREAT SOCKS!  Oct 22, 2008 By Moon
Hey, I bought several pairs of these socks last year - they are my favorite ever! Super comfortable, warm, soft not scratchy, feels dry. I love them for winter in Ohio.

340 Below? Not really.  Jan 20, 2010 By Anne D. "Anne D."
These socks were ordered for my husband - his job requires a great deal of outdoor work and his feet are always cold. Unfortunately, these socks were no better than the many other thermal socks we've purchased with less than good results. They provided nominal extra warmth, but our coldest temperatures are around 30 degrees - in a truly cold climate, I think you'd be better off with some other brand.

5Wigwam 40 Degrees Below socks  Nov 16, 2009 By Glen Sailsbury
I bought these socks for an overnight camp out. It was late October and the nights get cold. You can't get a good nights sleep with cold feet. The outside temperature was below freezing yet I was nice and warm. The socks are very nice. I would recommend them for any winter activity.
