Usually ships in 2-3 business days | | | | | | The Sport Boss race features our exclusive IAS (Individual Adapting System): With its ratcheting closure mechanism, and pivot points, the UVEX IAS 2-system provides a unique, three-dimensional, and micro-adjustable fit. The integrated strap system guide guarantees a good and tight fit. The IAS knob can be operated with one hand, while the helmet is on. The system also features a ventilated forehead with anti-allergic, washable cushion. Helmet loosens up after you get going? No need to stop and fiddle with straps, just reach up and click the monomatic mechanism in to microadjust on the fly. Monomatic closure: Most helmets use a standard click-lock, and anyone who rides knows that the fit of the chin strap can change as you get moving and start to sweat. Until now, you had a choice: stop and fiddle with your straps, or ride with a loose strap. UVEX has solved that particular annoyance with a ratcheted design (similar to what you might find on a pair of bike shoes or in-line skates, only smaller). This allows you to fine-tune how tight the strap closes on the chin on the fly. The strap itself is a 16mm wide, non-fade, uv-resistant, light, smooth, and easy on the skin. In-Mould technology means a tough helmet with superior protection for the back of the head. | | | |

A superb helmet at a decent price Jun 23, 2009
By Koyote This helmet is pretty light, pretty well-ventilated, pretty comfortable, and has several nice features such as anti-bug mesh in front vents, ratcheting chin strap for easy adjustment, a soft sweat-absorbing cover for the chin strap, and easy one-handed adjustment of the fit. As long as your head is neither huge nor tiny (the helmet comes in just one size) it is a tremendous value - you can spend twice as much money, but it'll get you a helmet that isn't much better.

Great helmet but this is an outdated version Jan 25, 2010
By Elkue Careful, this is no longer a production helmet meaning the FDJ team and other no longer use this version. Though it's still a great helmet.
Excellent quality helmet with FDJ colors Apr 07, 2011
By Cyclist John Excellent quality, comfortable, affordable, and with the FDJ stylized four-leaf clover to boot. Yes, this is the "old" logo, but the "new" logo is so close you can mix/match the two if you get the "new" uniform. I don't own a "new" helmet but do own the "new" uniform, and this "old" helmet goes with it just fine.
The large four-leaf clover on top of the helmet is part of the shell, so it won't wear off (unless you take sandpaper to it). The small four-leaf clover and "Francaise Des Jeux" text are stickers, and will eventually start to peel. After one side of my helmet said "ancaise Des Jeux", I wised up and added a dab of glue to the peeling stickers. Haven't had a problem since.
If you're an FDJ fan, you'll be very happy with this helmet. I like the helmet itself so much that I've purchased one in non-FDJ colors to wear with some non-FDJ kit. Uvex helmets are less known than Giro, Specialized, etc., but are top quality.
You'll look like a Pro! Mar 18, 2011
By Michel Dederen I always thought "La Francaise Des Jeux" cycling team riders had the coolest looking helmet in the peloton and I was pleasantly surprised I could find one at such an affordable price. No, this is not the newest version available, but you still get the same high German quality Uvex helmet, with pretty similar features, for probably half the price of a 2010 LFDJ model. I like the anti bug protective mesh on the front, the fact that it is easily adjustable and the comfortable fit. I wear a skull cap underneath, because of my shaved head, but the helmet is well ventilated and extremely light, quite a plus in the August heat of Texas!
For less than a 100 bucks, that's the closest I will get to look like a pro, at least from my shoulders up!

Race helmet of the slow kind Aug 19, 2011
By aito The helmet itself is great, ( no wonder it's made in Germany )... but the travelling time is much too long for an "expres expedition ". It stuck about 5 days in customs, I don't know whose fault this is, but it made me miss a race.
