I use these tires on a Cannondale Hybrid at 700X35, and on my Specialized Sequoia using 700X32. They do have a pattern that takes getting used to at first. I have only had one flat in 3,000 miles over pretty grubby roads and that is when some jerk dumped a 5 inch nail in the bike lane. Went through the sidewall completely through the tube and out the other sidewall! Put some super glue in the hole in the tire and seems to be holding well. They are, of course, relatively heavy due to the extra protection, however you can use a lighter inner tube to save weight. It pays to learn how to change a flat. I am always amused at the 'racers' I see with flats that haven't a clue let alone the correct tools or even a pump!
