1Great Concept, but need to be ready to create "DIY" additions  Jun 16, 2010
I liked the idea of these bags and is why I bought them. However, there is no way to really attach them to your bike aside from the under part. I had old bike shoe straps I used and the bags still slid to the back. This was followed by the bags getting caught in my wheel spokes and fixed by me attaching a clipboard to the bags so they would have a hard, flat surface! After a couple of weeks too long of frustration, I have given up on them and am shopping for new saddle bags to commute to work with!

5Great Bags - very reasonable price !  Mar 12, 2010
I just finished installing these bags on my bicycle , to replace a smaller, ancient set I had on there.
The new bags fit my old rack perfectly , and were very easy to install with the attached strap system . Though I also used a couple wire ties to attach the underside stiffener sides to the rack even more securely . I do not take them on and off the bike - they stay there. The bags have really good packing space in the large compartments , with two way zippers for ease of access.

And - they look good too, with the added reflective strips for nighttime visibility!

I also commended the source for not over packing this item for shipment. Too many times I've received very sturdy items, packed as though they were fragile - or very small items in huge boxes . And of course we pay for this over sized, over done packing , that does the environment no good ! Good job Niagara Cycle works!

I definitely recommend this product !

5I love my new bicycle panier  May 19, 2009
I was a little uncertain when I read the other reviews about this pannier sliding off the back of the bike. But when it arrived I saw that it came with four secure straps to anchor to the bike's rack and had a good bungie type attachment for the lower struts of the baggage rack. It is bigger than the pannier I used to have, and so I can easily fit my clothes, book and purse into it, for riding to work every morning. It is water repellent and looks nice too. Seems like most people don't like this type of carrier any more, but it is perfect for me. Whoever wrote those other reviews either: 1) had a different product, 2) was the manufacturer's competitor, or 3) was totally incompetent which prevented them from correctly attaching the device to the bike.

4Very Pleased  May 02, 2009
I got this at the LBS recently. The new models must have addressed earlier concerns, because they come with bungees to keep them hooked to the rack, and stiffeners to prevent flapping. I ripped one of the bags by running one into a short 4x4 fencepost - and I'm going to replace them with the same bag.

The picture shows them mounted backward. The heel-strike relief in the bag is in the rear - should be in front, where your heel will be! :)

5great gift!  Dec 16, 2008
we sold the car almost a year ago, and bought baskets for the bikes, but my wife still needed a place for her library books, raingear, etc. some place inconspicuous and weather proof. this provides both. and with a little ingenuity. it has stayed in place, not fallen off like i feared from earlier reviews. a great buy!
