This hat does fit small, but it's perfect for what I wanted it for which is of course for my Team Zissou Internship. It's just like the one Steve wears throughout the movie; vaguely gnome-ish. I like to fold up the rim of mine making it even smaller, but it does slip off my head/hair after awhile. I'm glad I bought this one though still. =)

And it is clearly described as short... but it always hard to guess what that means. What it means is that you can pull it down over ears as long as you don't fold the bottom up. The larger size they sell fits perfectly when doing that, and I ended up buying one of those as well. Both are nice and warm, simple, cheap and seem to be made fairly well.

Fits great, stretchable material. It is short beanie, and fits perfect for my skull. I guess other reviewers have big skull. They should have gotten long beanie..??
