Great Jock, Poor cup, Still 5 Star Product Apr 08, 2012

Love the jock. Absolutely love it. It is very comfortable, love the compression fit, the velcro placement is great and I have washed it over 20 times and have not had the velcro cover peel off and stick to everything else in the dryer, which was a problem with a previous velcro jock I owned. The cup is weird, I tried it for about 4 seconds and immediately replaced it with my old, battle forged, walnut shield. I'm willing to bet most of the complaints of the one star reviewer are resolved with either a different style cup, or loosening the socks a bit so they're not tugging on your jock and pulling it out of place. Seldom an issue, but if you stretch your socks too tight, they'll try to pull your shorts down to your shin pads every time you bend your knee. If that happens, just readjust the velcro and loosen the sock a bit. Like I said, rarely an issue, but it CAN pull the cup out of place; it's an extremely easy fix however.
Either way, my old jock shorts were torn to bits but my cup was still a solid "future life" saver that my thighs were already quite acquainted with, so I knew I was buying it only for the shorts anyway. After 2 seasons and multiple washes, it's still as comfortable as the day I got it and the velcro hasn't diminished a bit. If my house burns down and takes my gear with it, I'm buying another one of these for sure.
The opposite of protection Mar 22, 2012
By Harry R. Wilson IV The Jock doesn't compress enough to the body (yes I got the right size), and my boys are free to roam wherever they want. Creates a vulnerability instead of offering protection. The cup isn't suited to hockey. I bought these to replace a cheap jock+cup I got at a local retailer but even that cheapo one does a better job. I shouldn't have switched but I need the Velcro that's on the legs of these for hockey socks. However, I don't feel safe or comfortable wearing this. The cup sits up too high and allows too much movement. Maybe a better cup would help, but even the jock material doesn't seem like it will compress to the body correctly regardless of what cup is in there. I swapped out the cup with my old ones (I have 2 different styles around the house), and nothing felt comfortable.

By Bgiants Holding up after half a season. Fits well and should last the high school hockey season. Fast delivery and item was as expected.

By ifrit1710 I like this alot although i recent bought the mma cup. its grey. and it has padding along the inner and outer thighs and i find it to be better suited for roller hockey than this one because of the light padding that does not hinder your skating abilities
