Not too shabby... Jan 28, 2010
By Keith T. Strang
"Sense isn't made."
I've ridden with this fender and the rear SKS on and off my bike for the past... ah, 9 months or so everyday commuting. They're awesome because you can pull em off when you know the weather is going to be nice and throw em back on again in about literally 10 seconds if you know your going to need em.
Just to give you an idea of what I ride in... last week we had a blizzard that came in when it was still above freezing out, so we literally had 4-6 inches of slush on the road and this fender kept me bone dry! (Well my shoes got a little wet...)
I could see someone having an issue with them coming off if they aren't installed to the best of your ability. My advice for installation would be to check all the plug sizes and fit the largest one you can, even if you have to force it a little. That way you will less likely have an issue like the other reviewer had. Also, as you would anything else on your bike, check it regularly to make sure it's not coming loose. Now that I say that... I don't think I've ever checked mine since initial installation... will have to one of these days.
Also, this fender does in a way look kind of cool. This could easily be mistaken for nerdy though, so don't let em get to you!
Overall, if this fender was a school paper, it'd probably be an A+ (in a public school).

Cool! Jan 09, 2009
By KDH4 Works Great! Keeps the water out of your crotch, Fits easily into the fork, locks in tight, releases easy when I want it to. Riding in sub zero (Wyoming) weather and it stays flexible and doesn't crack. Got a matching REAR fender too. Also makes my bike look cool!
UPDATE- Almost through my second winter with a set (front and rear) of these fenders. Still going strong. No cracks, the back fender mount got broken when I parked my bike in a rack full of high school students that used my bike as a tripod for their bikes.(Actually had to pry the pedals of one bike out of my spokes!) I put a tie wrap around the mount to hold it closed and has been ok. Front fender mount fell out of the forks last fall. (shortly after the high school children incident) Remounted it and tightened it up a bit more and have had no problems since. Winter here starts in September and does not go away until may.) Been through ice, slush, -61 degrees, (yes I said negative sixty one degrees) and still no problems. I have riden my bike every day and except for the 2 problems I mentioned they still keep the water off my back and out of my crotch.
Update- Midway thru the THIRD winter and have had no more issues at all. (I park where my bike no longer gets abused by other people that have no common courtesy to other peoples stuff.) No cracking, no more falling off, all adjustments are where I set them. So far I have been out riding in negative 16 degrees (coldest so far this year) and have had no problems. They stay flexible even in extreme cold. They are a little whiteish-grey now, after three years of daily riding through road salt and de-icer slime and 105 degree summer temps.

By Old bike rider Rec'd on time at a good price. I use this fender on another bike and even being plastic it serves my needs. Great product.
Awesome Mounting System Mar 09, 2012
By LJS I have a Specialized 29er Mountain Bike and put Shockblades (28/29 inch size) on front and rear. Both fenders have awesome mounts that hold the fenders secure and allow for easy removal in about 15 seconds. The front mount uses expansion cams to fit inside the fork stem. I had to get out my Gorilla Gear hex wrenches to get it secure, but when I was done, it was in there tight. Then the front fender simply slides on and off. I was pleased that the fender cleared my brake cables and my Kryptonite lock that I have mounted n the handlebars.
The rear Shockblade was an even easier mount in that it has a simple over-center strap that fastens to the seat post.
I'm really happy with these fenders. I bought them mainly to stay dry during spring riding in Minnesota. But they actually look good too. My Specialized Carve looks a bit like the KX250 dirt bike that I used to own. I like that. I'd highly recommend these fenders.
Great product Feb 25, 2012
By Nishi The Shockblade attaches and detaches very easily; blocks a lot of the water. Only problem so far is centering once put on (it twists a little off center).
