Somewhat useful Jun 07, 2009 I know I definitely needed a fender for my front wheel, and this one seems to prevent some of the water / mud / slush from getting to my front derailleur. But I don't think it is as effective as I'd hoped. It was certainly very easy to install, and it looks nice on my Scott Sportster P55.
