Not Cork Tape and Slick Mar 05, 2010
By C. D. Phillips This is not your standard cork handlebar tape. It is very much like a thick vinyl electrical tape. It has a grain pattern on it sort of like a refrigerator or vinyl house siding. It is also very slick like electrical tape, even slicker than cork tape. It is slippery when dry and I can not imagine how slippery it gets when wet since I am going to quickly replace it with a better tape. I have used Easton and Cinelli cork tapes which are both very much better than this brand. This tape is like something you would find on a very cheap children's bike. This tape is also skinnier and short than a standard cork tape. The included ends are a very low grade plastic that are so flimsy I had to use others as I thought they might break when trying to push them in. I could not recommend anyone use this very poor tape. Electrical tape would work just as good as this and probably be cheaper. I give it two stars just because it is what it says and it does work although very poorly for what it is intended.
