not for cruising Jul 20, 2011
By F. Ross I was initially excited to find a layback seatpost that fit the old cruiser I am restoring. The new chrome looked great and the change in ride over a straight seatpost really felt nice and stretched out. However, after a couple of weeks of regular riding, I noticed that the seatpost was starting to bend backwards where the seatpost entered the frame. (I'm a 175 lb. adult and the post was well seated in the frame nowhere near the "max" line.) After it bent back about 3/4 inch I decided to remove the seatpost and try a different one before this post failed completely. This post is inexpensive so you might want to try it yourself, but my recommendation would be to only get this seatpost if it's for a kid or for a BMX bike or other situation where you won't be sitting much.

Good looks and function. Mar 08, 2011

I ordered this product for a Beach Cruiser that I'm working on. It showed up quickly and was exactly as described.
I really like the way it looks. The chrome is excellent and the welds on the support bar look good.
It installed easily and moved the seat on my Cruiser back just like I wanted. It looks great on the bike!!!
Overall, if you're looking for a laid back seat post, this is a great option!!!
Nice seatpost, but you may need a shim for an adult bike Dec 20, 2011
By Irene Lee I purchased this seat post not knowing it was for a child sized bike. I had to bring it to a bike store in order to get 2 shims to get it from 22.2 to 27.2. Then I had to use rubber bands to keep it from rotating within the shims. It's an unusual seat post and I'm happy to have found it.
Very low quality product Oct 13, 2011
By Schooley The vendor was alright, but the product was crap, I was weary of it as soon as I opened the package.
Cheap lightweight tubing.
The seat post bent within five minutes of sitting on it and I weigh 220 lbs.
The only upside to my purchase is I now have a template to weld one together from heavy gauge steal pipe.
