5Great tire  Nov 07, 2009 By NVW
Stock tires were worthless. Replaced them with these Kendas. Instant improvement: No more flats, so far. Less rolling resistance and tire noise because of tread design and higher inflation pressure (65 psi). Tougher construction. They're very good for my application, which is asphalt, pot holes, dirt roads, light off-road.

5Great Hybrid for the price.  Jul 27, 2010 By Robert Mcguire
Directional tire with a solid bead in the center. The bead is about 7/16" wide and when riding on a hard surface is the only part of the tire that makes contact with the road at 65psi . I had a chance to use these at Hillside Park in Elk River, MN. (youtube it to see some nice single track)it's a MTN bike park with easy to extreme single track, although a bit slippery I never felt out of control even on some of the more technical aspects of the course. The rear wheel did spin some on the steeper uphills. This is not supposed to be a heavy off-road tire but will easily cross over. The side lugs aggressively grabbed the corners, I actually felt surer in the corners than on the straight a ways or braking before the corner. Like others, 2 tires came in a full sized bike box - made for a nice fire though.

5nice compromise tread  Aug 05, 2009 By willie "roadie"
Nice tire for the money with a compromise tread that lets me ride trails or veer onto the grass to miss snowbirds or panhandlers on the path or the street. Installed on a set of double-wall rims on a vintage ('92) Rockhopper. Note that this tire is 'drive-specific,' and requires some attention on mounting (e.g., 'Drive -->'). BTW, mounting was a snap with only a pair of Park Tool TL-1s - not bad at all for a wire-bead tire!

We'll see how it holds up - but I like the 65-psi max rating - nice for less rolling resistance when fighting cagers in an urban setting!

5An amazing improvement over my old tires  Feb 09, 2011 By DABalke7
These tires are high quality, durable, and versatile. They work well with the bell no-more flats inner tubes keep a good shape and have excellent traction. Speaking of the traction I am able to ride my bike over ice and through slush without much problem something I thought would have been a major problem. These tires are more streamlined and lighter than the tires I had before on my bike (which were Kenda wide mountain bike tires, nearly 1.5 times as wide as these) with the same amount of traction, if not more. These tires are an all around improvement and I highly recommend them

5Great tire at an excellent price  Apr 05, 2011 By Reed J
The tires on my old mountain bike were wearing down to the point that the rear tire had no tread left in the middle of the tire, so I decided it was time to get some new tires. Since the bike is really old I didn't want to spend a lot of money on tires so these tires caught my eye. It was my first time installing a set of tires myself and I managed to get it done pretty quickly and without too much hassle.

I took my bike for an 11-mile ride yesterday, the first time I've used these tires. I'm quite pleased so far. The majority of the ride was on sidewalks and paved bike trails and the tires performed flawlessly. They were much quieter than my old mountain bike tires and it feels like they roll quite a bit smoother as well. It had rained shortly before my ride, so the pavement was wet, which allowed me to see that, as designed, only the center tread was making contact with the pavement, keeping the ride quiet and smooth. I did take the bike off the pavement some and I didn't have any trouble with traction and control through grass.

Overall, I think these tires are an excellent value for the money!
