5Great tire  Nov 07, 2009 By NVW
Stock tires were worthless. Replaced them with these Kendas. Instant improvement: No more flats, so far. Less rolling resistance and tire noise because of tread design and higher inflation pressure (65 psi). Tougher construction. They're very good for my application, which is asphalt, pot holes, dirt roads, light off-road.

5Great Hybrid for the price.  Jul 27, 2010 By Robert Mcguire
Directional tire with a solid bead in the center. The bead is about 7/16" wide and when riding on a hard surface is the only part of the tire that makes contact with the road at 65psi . I had a chance to use these at Hillside Park in Elk River, MN. (youtube it to see some nice single track)it's a MTN bike park with easy to extreme single track, although a bit slippery I never felt out of control even on some of the more technical aspects of the course. The rear wheel did spin some on the steeper uphills. This is not supposed to be a heavy off-road tire but will easily cross over. The side lugs aggressively grabbed the corners, I actually felt surer in the corners than on the straight a ways or braking before the corner. Like others, 2 tires came in a full sized bike box - made for a nice fire though.

5Great Hybrid Tire  Jul 12, 2012 By Coiz
I bought a Gary Fisher Cake 3DLX that came with Bontrager Jones AcX 26x2.2" knobby tires, see comparison pictures above. Typical work out ride is 2.5 miles on the street 5 miles on dirt and a little sand then 2.5 miles home on the street. After six rides with a friend who has hybrid tires, I was always 1/4 mile behind him after the 2.5 mile street stretch coming home. I thought I was just out of shape so we swapped bikes one day and sure enough, he was now the one who was 1/4 mile behind at the end of the street stretch.

I installed these Kenda 908 tires and on our first ride out, I was right there with him at the end. These tires definitely reduce the rolling resistance as compared to my full knobby tires. They are stable on the street and feel great off road. They are a little more slippery in the deep sand compared to the knobby tires but that is to be expected. I haven't had a chance to ride them in the wet but I expect them to perform well. The solid center section with the larger side lugs makes this a great compromise tire. Very pleased with the way these ride. Great price and shipping from Amazon!

Edit: After riding on these a few more times I would like to add to my review. My bike is a 17" while I probably need a 19", so my seat is up pretty high and my bars are fairly low. With the old knobby tires, pedaling while sitting upright (hands off the bars) was nothing short of an adventure keeping it upright and straight. Read: Hands flailing like a tightrope walker in the wind. With these Kenda K908's, the bike is rock solid and tracks nice and straight while pedaling upright! I love these tires.

5nice compromise tread  Aug 05, 2009 By willie "roadie"
Nice tire for the money with a compromise tread that lets me ride trails or veer onto the grass to miss snowbirds or panhandlers on the path or the street. Installed on a set of double-wall rims on a vintage ('92) Rockhopper. Note that this tire is 'drive-specific,' and requires some attention on mounting (e.g., 'Drive -->'). BTW, mounting was a snap with only a pair of Park Tool TL-1s - not bad at all for a wire-bead tire!

We'll see how it holds up - but I like the 65-psi max rating - nice for less rolling resistance when fighting cagers in an urban setting!

5An amazing improvement over my old tires  Feb 09, 2011 By DABalke7
These tires are high quality, durable, and versatile. They work well with the bell no-more flats inner tubes keep a good shape and have excellent traction. Speaking of the traction I am able to ride my bike over ice and through slush without much problem something I thought would have been a major problem. These tires are more streamlined and lighter than the tires I had before on my bike (which were Kenda wide mountain bike tires, nearly 1.5 times as wide as these) with the same amount of traction, if not more. These tires are an all around improvement and I highly recommend them
