Now comes fully assembled! Under desk consideration: Our Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is best option for under desk use, with a pedal top out height of 10.5". Direct from manufacturer pricing. No middleman means no need to pay more. Now comes with Dycem anti-slip strips to place under the feet to help solve a common problem of slipping on smooth floors. The Isokinetics Deluxe Pedal Exerciser creates resistance using a nylon band, combined with gears, which tightens around a cylinder when you crank the pedals, creating an even resistance and smooth pedal rotation. Turn the resistance control knob to increase or decrease resistance. The digital readout provides workout information updated constantly. Use it as a floor pedal exerciser for leg exercises or place it on a table for arm exercises. Compared to our Standard Pedal Exerciser or Magnetic Pedal Exerciser, the Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is better suited for office. It has the lowest pedal height at top position, 10.5" from the floor, making it the best choice for using under a desk. The white color fits in with most decor. For the "smoothest" ride, see our Magnetic Pedal Exercisers.

5Superior product  Apr 11, 2007 By Shelly F
Recommended by a rehabilitation concern, I purchased the unit from Amazon, considerably less than the price advertised by other companies.

The unit is perfect for bicycling in a restricted stationary space, quiet, and smooth operating.

It can easily be moved to a counter top for arm excersising, also.

The electronics works very well, displaying time, distance, etc.

Perfect for me.

4Machine okay for normal person  Mar 09, 2007 By Foxycleopatra "Foxy"
The tension adjustment didnt seem to do much in terms of make it easier or harder to pedal. My mother who suffered a stroke was unable to use it because even on the easiest setting it was still to hard for her to use. Had to send it back because of that.

4Cheaper than an exercise bike!  Aug 14, 2007 By Christine L. Hintz
We bought the pedal exerciser for my 87-year-old dad, who was told to buy an exercise bike after he broke his hip. We couldn't afford a bike, nor was there room to put it. His therapist said the pedal exerciser was a good idea. Dad likes and USES it because he can watch golf on TV and pretend he's walking with the crowd! He uses it daily while watching TV. The only drawback for him is it is heavy to move; in addition, my mother and I aren't sure the tension can really be adjusted. It doesn't feel any different to her when she does adjust it to a stronger setting. The best thing is that Dad actually uses it, and he really doesn't like to exercise that much!

2Don't waste your money!  Mar 06, 2008 By C. Durgin
This item is not that easy to use....buy the entire bicycle instead of wasting your money on these pedals. It certainly does fit under a desk, however, you cannot pedal it under a desk unless your desk is up on blocks. Also, it is frustrating to use as it is so lightweight and it keeps moving away from you. I put a piece of rubber under it to prevent it from moving but it still was moving so I placed a 15 pound weight behind it. Even with my set up, it would tend to tip over backwards if I got to going too fast. It was so frustrating to use that I have not been able to do more than 10 minutes on it and I have since put it away! Also, without the seat, you need to figure out what works best for you. I am 5'10" with very long legs and a regular dining room chair was too short. I put three cushions on the chair to get the desired height but that was too woobly. I tried placing it against the wall at an angle while I sat on the floor in a recumbent position but that was very uncomfortable. I couldn't even last 5 minutes. I tried different positions and chair heights but nothing I tried worked well. I would recommend buying the entire bicycle with seat adjustments. I thought this item would save on space, which it does, but what good is it if I don't/can't use it? This item is going in my next garage sale!

3Could be better  Jul 09, 2009 By wildchair
I bought this unit as an upper body exerciser, UBE, only since I'm a paraplegic and am unable to use it for leg exercise. Overall I had higher expectations for this unit. The biggest disappointment for me was it is not bidirectional so the pedals only move in one direction. The resistance levels seem ok and are easy to adjust but the unit does make more noise then I would have expected in use. On a table or the floor the unit is pretty stable but the feet aren't attached with anything, just slide onto the tubes, so they can come off. I've also had the peddles come unscrewed and fall off during use, though they are pretty easy to put back on. If I had it to do over I would not purchase this unit.
