Now comes fully assembled! Under desk consideration: Our Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is best option for under desk use, with a pedal top out height of 10.5". Direct from manufacturer pricing. No middleman means no need to pay more. Now comes with Dycem anti-slip strips to place under the feet to help solve a common problem of slipping on smooth floors. The Isokinetics Deluxe Pedal Exerciser creates resistance using a nylon band, combined with gears, which tightens around a cylinder when you crank the pedals, creating an even resistance and smooth pedal rotation. Turn the resistance control knob to increase or decrease resistance. The digital readout provides workout information updated constantly. Use it as a floor pedal exerciser for leg exercises or place it on a table for arm exercises. Compared to our Standard Pedal Exerciser or Magnetic Pedal Exerciser, the Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is better suited for office. It has the lowest pedal height at top position, 10.5" from the floor, making it the best choice for using under a desk. The sleek black color fits in with most decor and makes it more inconspicuous in an office setting. For the "smoothest" ride, see our Magnetic Pedal Exercisers.

3Slip Sliding Away  Jul 03, 2007 By Satia Renee "Satia Renee"
I bought this pedal machine to help me exercise. My biggest complaint is that it will not stay put. One a wood floor it will slide far too easily. Even when put on a sticky mat, it would not stay in place. On carpeting it is not much better. So far the only options I have found to make it work are to put it on a sticky mat on carpeting (and even then it will push out slowly) or to put it up against a wall or furniture. Still, when I can get it to stay in place, I can work up a sweat and get my heartrate elevated. I wish the manufacturer would find a way to get the feet from sliding forward as you push.

5pedaler  Jun 26, 2007 By BeckyIiz Sizbicki "consummate consumer"
Very good product, holds up well. Am able to get a great workout with it. Only problem is that it slids a little too much on the floor.

4Good value  Nov 16, 2008 By C. Souchik
I have this under my desk at work. It provides a nice distraction from the work day. It is noisier than a magnetic resistance unit but not too noisy. You can carry on a conversation while using it. The resistance is adjustable from extremely easy to pedal to not very difficult to pedal. This is OK with me because I'm looking to burn some calories while sitting at a desk for eight hours, but I don't want to work up a stinky sweat. I have not used it above desk with my arms, but the pedals are small enough to grap with your hands. The unit can tend to slide on the floor if you let it get too far in front of you.
It is easy to assemble and comes with all necessary tools. The LCD readout gives you an idea of what you have done, although I doubt the accuracy of the distance and speed. Still, it performs just as I expected. This is a good product at a good price.

4Pretty Good  Apr 12, 2011 By D. Mazzarella "Dottie From the Block"
I gave this product 4 stars because for the price point I don't know that you could get anything better. I have an average cube w/an average desk that hits underneath at 2'3", I'm 5'5" I've had to lower my chair to a lower than normal height and keep a little pulled back from the desk to keep my knees from hitting but I assume this is to be expected. If you're much taller than me you may have issues. While it's fairly quiet it can def. be heard from any direct cube neighbor, or cube neighor that sits across from the open side of your cube. As long as your cube mates don't mind you should be okay as I said it's not too loud. My cube mate says it sounds like an ultra sound machine. The tension adjusts well even though other people have said it doesn't. However, it's not the smoothest pedal and the harder the tension the less smooth the pedaling (WD40 didn't seem to help), so I have to keep it on a pretty low tension. In 60 min I managed to pedal 1.5 miles, so I imagine the tension is pretty low right now. According to the calorie meter I've burned 49 calories. I figure if I can burn 500 - 1,000 calories per week on this thing it's worth it. Otherwise I'm just sitting on my but burning nothing. If it's raining at lunch I can probably crank it out faster and burn some extra calories since I won't be trying to work at the same time. It should have occurred to me when purchasing, but it didn't, I have a chair on wheels as I assume most cube workers do. This can make it tricky to stay pulled up to the bike. No worries though it was easy to manipulate one leg of the chair around one leg of the bike and that keeps me in place. I've had no issues with slipping. Ultimately if I had my drothers I'd prefer a lower profile, quieter bike with a smoother ride, but I don't know if you can expect that for the $$$ that this costs. Finally, pretty obvious, but there is a little wire in the bike that needs to attach to the meter, the directions don't note this.

1Falls apart  Sep 30, 2008 By Y. Morris
Right pedal continually falls off (about once every 50 rotations), slides on the carpet, tension isn't changeable despite turning the tension knob, feet stabilizers fall off, doesn't pedal smoothly. RETURNING THIS PRODUCT SAME DAY I GOT IT!
