5Beautiful piece of helmet! Better than Giro or Bell!  Oct 05, 2008 By techaddict
Hi there!

I ordered this unit online from Sports Authority and boy I got a heck of a great deal! Shipping was extremely fast and the package came intact. When I opened it, I saw the most expensive-looking helmet in red-white-blue color. It has red padding for your top head and black padding on the side. The chin strap even comes with a neat padding to protect it. Neat! The back adjuster makes it easy for me to perfectly fit the helmet. I bought this helmet because of one reason, the back reflector. You cannot see that on any Giro or Bell (low ends and probably on high ends). Very nice for a commuter road bike fanatic like me!

5Great fit for a large head  Aug 27, 2008 By Comp Expert "Comp"
I'm a recreational rider who needed a new helmet after my old Bell's straps completely disintegrated. I realize all helmets sold in the US are functionally the same, having to pass safety standards. However, fit and comfort varies with every model out there. I have a rather large head, so those "one size fit all" helmets do NOT work for me. I must have a larger sized unit and these typically do not come by as affordably. I was glad to see this Ironman unit for sale at $40. I really could care less about the color but the blue/white unit I received was pretty nice looking. It fits my large head perfectly, and has a roller on the back to squeeze my head just right so it feels like a custom fit. It's just so comfortable, light, and channels air well that you don't even know it's on. Huge step up from my old Bell which wasn't nearly as good. Well worth the extra money from those low-end budget models.

5A satifactory product  Sep 27, 2007 By Quack
I bike to work about 2 days in a week and the ride is a short 10-minute one in a mostly residential neighborhood. Still I know I need a helmet.

At first, I shopped at discounter stores and just gave up because of its poor quality. Those helmets lack even some basic functionalties such as adjustable wheel at the back to fit your head's girth. Then I went straight to sports equipment stores for some brand-name ones, and again gave up because of its high price this time. I then started looking online to try to get deals for those brand-name helmets; unfortunately, discounts were only available for small or medium sizes. I'm glad to have found this one for ~$30.
