First of all, the claim that this seat eliminates the problems caused by pressure on the perineum area is absolutely true. There is no pressure at all in that region since no part of the seat contacts it. That's great.

However, after about 25 miles and countless adjustments over 2 days, I can't use this saddle.

The only way I could adjust it so there was no pressure on the back of my legs was to lower the seat so far that my legs are still very bent at the bottom of the pedal rotation. This greatly reduces pedaling efficiency and just doesn't work for the way I ride.

I think this might be a great saddle for someone who rides casually and in a very upright position, but that's not me.

1) You must adjust your seat post 1" lower, right off the bat. You may want more. If your seat post has suspension in it, make sure you can lower it enough without hitting the frame downtube with the suspension mechanism. You might want to raise your handlebars for a more upright riding position while you're at it. Your going to feel a little more pressure on your shoulders (between my shoulders in my case) on longer rides, wasn't a big deal to me.
2) Start with the ISM seat rails Dead Parallel with the ground.
3) Try it WITH BOTH HANDS ON THE HANDLEBARS for comfort.
4) Move the seat back a little more than it looks like it should be and go from there. Experimenting with the front to back adjustment is critical. In about 20 minutes fooling around riding about 50 feet at a time I made at least 7 or 8 adjustments untill I got an "ooooohhh yeah" feeling.
5) Try tilting the seat, one fraction at a time. I'm fat, so two "clicks" downward tilt at the front made a big difference.
6) If your'e overwieght the seat is not cushioned enough. WHAT IDIOT DESIGNER WOULDN'T PUT GEL INSTEAD OF FOAM IN A TOURING SEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7) Ride the bike a number of times to become accustomed to it. DON'T take your hands off the bars 'till you are.
If it was softer I might think the seat to be allmost perfect. This seat lets me ride a bike again. If you wiegh 100-150 pounds, you may LOVE this saddle. By the way, the Schwinn Comfort seat I tried was just plain unnacceptable, it left nowhere for the top rear of your thigh to go on the downstroke, so the top rear of your leg (where it meets your buttock) scoots you a little forward as you pedal. I spent over an hour tinkering with it to no avail. It wouldn't work for me on my exercise bike either.

I've tried many, many, many bike seats. This one didn't work for me. I have a silicone-gel seat cover that works well.

While the lack of a nose lessens the chafing of the inner theigh, the padding is much too firm as compared to other premium saddles that I have purchased. If they improve the padding issue to include various density foams and gel,they would have a better product.

This seat would be great for a beach cruiser or hibryd where the riding style is upright. As soon as you lean foward in a more traditional style the back of your legs hit the wide part of the seat causing a very uncomfortable and painful ride
