5Owned 2, Would buy another  Apr 30, 2010 By amerpie
I didn't even try to use the Selle saddle that came with my last road bike, even though it was highly rated. My Adamo saddle, properly dialed in ended so many issues: sore sitz bones, inner thigh pain, etc. It's the perfect width for my body. It's padded a little more than most saddles but not overly so. I ride 800-1000 miles a month and really never think about the saddle (legs are another story). SInce the Adamo is a little thicker than many saddles, I had to adjust my seat height accordingly.

5I tried a lot of bike saddles, this one the most comfortable, glad I bought it  Feb 05, 2011 By remmeleaudible
I had to work on the adjustments, ended up pointing the 'nose' of the seat down - and this helped. I went on a very long ride, like 40 miles and tried all of the seats I had (about 4) and this one is the clear winner. The others have pain and numbness, this one is the most comfortable. So far, this one works well. I can ride for 35-40 miles without a hassle.

Glad I bought it!

5works great  Jan 02, 2011 By B. Ondrey "bondrey"
You have to play with the angle and positioning, but it really is helpful if you have issues down below that riding either cuases or exacerbates. The extra wide gap that doesn't close really does the trick. They are also well built and was surprised at the weight...not the lightest saddle out there but is pretty light considering how much support it has.

4Amazing and comfortable bicycle saddle  Sep 19, 2011 By Lars Rider
Over the years, I developed some perineum sensitivity from riding bikes with cycling shorts.
The Adamo saddles solve this issue completely with their chopped of nose and well placed perineum channel.

This was my second Adamo. A month ago I bought the Racer model. The typhoon is much less expensive and softer than the Racer model.

If the Typhoon was slightly firmer it would've gotten five stars. Also would like a color selection, other than black with blue stiching. BTW the current Typhoon loses the blue flourishes in favor of a blue "ADAMO" outline block letters down the center from the logo to the channel. I like this better, but would have prefered white or red choices.

All in all a fantastic saddle for longer rider even without cycling shorts. I broke mine in on a twenty six mile ride, then took it to Burning Man. Many others got chaffed, but not I... *Grin*

4Big improvement over original seat  Sep 07, 2011 By R. Bergeron
I've put about 250 miles on this saddle since getting it. That includes one ride of over 50 miles and a bunch in the 15-20 mile range. It helps a lot with the pain and numbness caused by the compression of the perineum area. There's no pressure on that area at all. However, there is increased pressure on the "sit bones". That takes some getting used to.

This is a big improvement over the original saddle that came with my Trek FX 7.2. With that one, I had a lot of trouble with pain and numbness. The longer the ride, the worse the problem was. Those exact symptoms haven't happened at all with this saddle.

I had a problem with the saddle squeaking after a few miles. I contacted both the vendor (Gotta Ride Bikes) and the manufacturer (ISM Saddles). The vendor got back to me within a few hours and the manufacturer got back to me shortly after that. The manufacturer immediately sent me a replacement and I returned the squeaky one. The replacement is completely quiet. I was very happy with the response of both the vendor and the manufacturer and would do business with both of them in the future.
