Rugged, Tough, Stands Up To Abuse Feb 06, 2008 By New Mommy
My 3 year old son got this scooter in October for his birthday from his grandparents. They chose it for the Huffy brand and we haven't been disappointed. My son loves to "crash" on this scooter, thus causing it to get smashed into the sidewalk repeatedly during an outting. There are some scratches and scuffs on the side of the scooter as a result, but otherwise, this scooter has stood up to some pretty tough abuse. My one and only complaint is that my son discovered quickly how to take the padding off the handle bar. It is attached with Velcro. He jerked that off during a fairly chilly day recently and the vinyl covering the padding ripped off at the seams. I'm sure the cold made the vinyl brittle. But sewing that padding on sans the Velcro would have prevented him from pulling it off in the first place.

Our daughter (3.5 yrs) recieved this for Christmas. She is learning, she is doing well. The foot rest is nice and wide, big enough for both feet to be on. Also seems very sturdy, well made. We think it will last for her and her siblings. That is what we like best. Other ones we have seen do have some cool features like a basket and/or a bell, but she hasn't seem to miss it.
