3Good horn, sort of  Jul 21, 2010 By Eric Johnson
I purchased this horn for my "tricked-out" beach cruiser. It does what a horn is supposed to do: you squeeze the bulb and it honks. Wah-hoo! It is plenty loud, and has that "olde tyme" sound that you might find from a car built in the early 1900's. The horn also looks great on my bike.

I dinged this product by one star because of the way the horn mounts are designed. During my first attempt at installation, I torqued the lone screw down until my eyes were bugging out, and still the mount gripped neither the handle bar nor the stem of the horn. It just flopped about and probably would have rattled about if I had been riding. To add somewhat to the frustration, the horn body allows for little forward and back adjustment and the screw head can only be accessed when the horn is situated just so. I should mention that the handle bars are what came with the bicycle, and appear to be "standard" diameter.

Fortunately, rubber tape is a stock item at home. One wrap around the handle bar, and a couple of wraps around the horn body did the trick. More or less. The horn is still not as tight as I want it to be, so I will probably add another layer or two of rubber tape where the clamp grips the horn. Three layers of rubber tape; the mount they sent me was not even close to the right size for holding the horn in place.

They lose another star because of the bulb. As several other reviewers have noted, the bulb comes off easily, or at least it does on mine. The only thing holding the bulb to the body is friction; no adhesives, no set screws, no threaded fit, and not nearly enough friction! I don't believe that it will take many miles of riding before the bulb works its way off, rendering the product worthless. I plan to glue / screw the bulb on to the body, something which the manufacturer should have done.

5Loud Horn  Feb 02, 2009 By Woodlandtrails
I purchased this from a bike shop in town for $1 more than on Amazon because I wanted to actually hear all the horns/bells.

This horn is packaged so you can squeeze the bulb without removing the package so you can hear the horn and see the product without actually putting it on your bike. This horn is all metal and it is louder than all the others on the rack at the store (I tested them all) It feels quite solid.

It also looks old-fashioned with that bugle twist in it which is what I wanted on my "old fashioned" new cruiser type bike. I would give it a SOLID 5 as it is barring any durability issues.

My new bike is in the shop right now getting put together. I also ordered the Pyramid 3 horn here on Amazon which doesn't seem to have a defect and looks even more "different"

I decided to keep this horn for one bike and the 3 horned horn on another bike (both from the same company). The bulb has not come off as one reviewer wrote and I have used it many times.

If it ever falls off I will update this review. It works fine now and is quite solidly built.

5Fun Bike Horn  Dec 28, 2007 By Dorothy M. Smith
A fun horn for child's bike. If your biker rides on ahead of you on the bike trail, you can track him by the sound of this horn! Fun accessory for a child's bike.

5GREAT HORN FOR MY MOBILITY SCOOTER  Dec 23, 2010 By Roy Berger "Everyman"
This horn is short enough it easily fit on my Pride GoGo scooter. The clamp was too small to go around the steering column; but NO PROBLEM! I took a cable tie, aka zip tie, and fastened the clamp that way.

3fine for what it is  May 24, 2009 By V. Lee
It honks, which is what it's supposed to do. The horn is short and stubby, with the tubing making a loop, so it's kinda cute. Made of lightweight steel, the horn itself or the mounting bracket could get bent if you aren't careful. I bought it as a concert percussion accessory. I later found out that Walmart had an equivalent product for less.
