Item as described and heavy duty,..... May 30, 2008
By Mr. J
"Mr. J"
Item as described and heavy duty,.....it was installed and operational on my 26" Schwinn Ranger MB after receiving it, in 5 minutes. Install was a breeze, take off the old, install the new. Fits like a glove. Note: You will need a large allen wrench. Item as pictured only, it does come with an additional longer screw.
I use my Schwinn for road use mainly and don't see a problem, dirt goer's may have an issue since it's just about 5"/6" off the ground when up. Tight cornering might cause you get kicked out/dug in since it protrudes end to end, 10", 5" each side. Just food for thought.
This kickstand was purchased as a recommended part of a ebike conversion, not this particular item, just in general, but I have to say I did pick right. When in use, your bike will have one wheel a few inches off the ground, that's the way it supposed to be. If you got a big heavy bike that falls down alot this kickstand will do the trick keeping it up.
The only thing I foresee happening though are the caps for the ends falling off. You have to kind of figure on that eventually. I'll glue mine in like one reviewer stated. I hope my review was of some help to you.

No more tipping over Jan 19, 2007
By J. Lake Mounts easily in standard kickstand mountings. comes wiht one long and one short screw. At first glance I though it would hang down too low. but it is low enought not to interfere wiht the chain, and high enough so it does not pose a risk of dragging on the ground.
I purchased this because I have dual baskets on the rear and the factory kickstand makes it easy to tip over. This makes a nice 3 point stand - much like a center mount motorcycle kickstand. This is the exact item I was looking for and it performs as expected.

perfect for an electric bike Jan 28, 2008
By Nolan Wallach I installed an electric motor on my bicycle that (with the battery) added over 55 pounds in weight. This kickstand is somewhat like those designed for motorcycles. When it is in use (kicked) you have the choice of having either the front or the rear wheel off the ground. The new front wheel has the motor in its hub and weighs about 25 pounds thus the stand allows me to remove a very heavy wheel without lifting the bike. Over the rear wheel is the battery (about 30 pounds) and the help given by the stand is similar.

Too Short!! Mar 12, 2011
By J. Bach At ~10-3/4" height from base to mount when extended, this is too short for both my 26" cruiser and mountain bikes. This stand may be fine for a 24" wheeled bike, but without spacers, this one allows bike to wobble to one leg or the other. The standing height of this unit should be disclosed in the description!!!! For that...ONE star, because there are no negative stars to give for this negligence. Now I either have to return it or purchase material and work an hour on an appropriate spacer. I already have a $19 one from WallyWorld and at ~12" mount-height, it fits great with enough space under a wheel to remove it or work on it. I'm surprised the height problem wasn't mentioned before. I probably should have purchased the "M-Wave Steel Double Leg Side Bicycle Kickstand" here instead. I only bought this one after reading the reviews here.

Will it fit your bike, warning Jun 04, 2009
By Robert D. Jones I gave this a 5 star for the quality of the piece but 0 star for companies return policy, also I found to late that reviewers were saying it might not fit a mountain bike, and they were right I have no mount for it on my old Gary Fischer frame that never originally came with a stand, and the adapter you can buy still would not have fit this bike frame.I spent half the day hand making a mount from a L shape angle iron ,had to drill holes in angle and bike and cut it,shape it,then drill with a metal bit I had to buy, drill two holes straight through my frame in two places to make a mounting bracket on my motorized bike that I just installed a 4 stroke engine on,now I was able to mount the great sturdy stand, and yes its true like all say,it hangs low,it would never work in the woods of Oregon where things would tangle in it since its hanging just 3 inches off the ground but for my motorized bike for highway and smooth trail its a necessity, can't lay a gas tank bike on the ground,it must stand.Warning this is not for all size frames so read carefully ok.
This store (Niagra)have a return policy of if you take product out of package return policy is voided, thats a joke, you will not know if it works for you unless you take it out of package so I would have lost my money and shipping if I had not made it to work.
