cool pants Dec 23, 2008

These pants are great!!! They keep out the wind chill of -35 we are having in WI. Never even notice the wind or cold. When putting on snow pants the inner fleece lining sticks to pants/jeans and then you have to grab the bottom of pant leg to pull them down inside snow pants.
Perfect pair of snow pants Dec 27, 2010
By bellallymommy We went though our first Boston blizzard last night. So we just had to slip on our snow gear to play in the newly fallen snow this morning. I sat and sank in about two feet of snow. Never felt cold and never got wet. I am born and raised in southern Cali. Not fond of the cold. Love these pants.
These are great pants! Feb 08, 2009
By J. N I purchased these pants going for a full day at the lake to an ice fishing tournament with my husband! With all the wind that day, to my surprise I was warm the whole day. I love the adjustability with the velcro sides and the bottom of the legs are flared to fit great over your boots. I am usually a med., sometimes a large so I decided to order the large so I was sure to have some extra room and I was glade I did. Just what I was looking for and worth the money too! Excellent choice for the petite, plus-size gal !! Jan 13, 2009

For any of you short and big gals out there, I found the solution to fighting the cold weather! When buying online, I am always under conservative. I would normally take a 2x, but went for the 3x since I am petite as well as plus-size, as we all know how hard it it to find things to fit just right. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the 3x was quite roomy, a bit too much so, in that they didn't stay "up" (even when I tucked my sweatshirt in) and the articulated knee, which you can feel if it doesn't sit at the knee, was annoying. My solution was to go to Work 'n Gear and purchase suspenders, essentially turning them into bibs. The suspenders absolutely did the trick, but they were still WAY too long, as I am only 5 feet. I never understood why the length seems to get longer the larger the size - perhaps they think that all bigger women MUST be Amazonian? Although I have been rolling them under to shorten them, I find that it doesn't last too long while you are active (shoveling, sledding, etc), so I am going to try putting in a few stitches, on the inside and outside seams, as taking them to the tailor, which I do with all my pants, would probably cost a fortune because of the side zipper. I agree that the fleece liner was tricky at first, but making a small adjustment once they are on is a small price to pay for being comfortable and warm, and it sure beats the heck out of the nylon lined one's of years past. I am a DIE-HARD fan of Columbia (pants, boots, hats, gloves/mitts) and will be purchasing a new coat very shortly, which I hope also fits as well as these pants. Thank you Columbia!
