3 years and it still looks great! Jun 27, 2010

I know most helmets should be replaced every couple of years due to the age and use. This helmet sat on a shelf for a year while our youngest needed to get to the point they could ride. Move ahead to today and this helmet has taken a ton of abuse and still looks like it could last many more years. It gets used at least 3x per week and still is holding up.
Pros:
+ The adjustments on the straps allow for it to fit many different head sizes and shapes.
+ Cool graphics that let the child feel like they are going faster than they are (which is important).
+ Durable long-lasting construction means this can protect a child for quite a while.
Cons:
- The chin strap release is difficult for a child under 6 to do by themselves. Most of the time they would pull it off over their head.
Summary:
Inexpensive, quality built, looks good piece of protective gear for your most precious cargo.
Highly recommended!

Great product by a name you can trust.
The lil girl who wears this found subtle dragons in the graphics on the helmet ( Pink Orchid Fire helmet ) and thinks it gives her more power/ bravery to get over her fear of no training wheels.
I thought that was just too cute and had to share it.

Great Helmet Jan 10, 2007
By butterboop This is a very sturdy helmet. Fits my 7 year old well. The design is perfect for a boy.

Don't scrimp on your kid's safety! Dec 22, 2009
By Velocipede You get what you pay $[...] for...a helmet not even worthy enough for a kid to use. The soft, outer plastic has the same exact hardness as a 2-liter soda bottle. What kind of protection is that? The thick, bulky, styrofoam padding inside does not compensate for the outer shells' lack of scuff and impact absorption. Also, the 21 tiny vents do not cool very well either. If you value your kid's life...spend a few bucks more and get a helmet with at least 24 vents and IN-MOLD(hardshell) construction, please!
I gave it two stars because the straps and fit was really the BEST thing about this flimsy helmet.
