Did you hear something? Oct 20, 2009
By B. Booth If you are buying this to save bar space and still be able to warn feeble elders as you pass them on rail-trails forget it. Wayyyyyyyy too quiet, you are almost better off clicking your brake lever. The bell also dings as you hit bumps, which is very annoying. Sad because it is a good idea and a high quality bell.
Dings on bumps. Sep 07, 2011
By Richard Giavedoni This bell rings when you hit a bump. On a crowded path pedestrians and other cyclist are warned unnecessarily. It like riding in a group ride you hear fifteen repeated screams of "HOLE!" for every minor road imperfection. It was annoying too many people so I removed it form my bike.

Yes, way too quiet, but... Jul 14, 2010
By Bill King ... at least it mounts on the bike where it is out of the way and does not get its spring smashed while hauling our bikes laying down flat on a foam mattress in pickup truck bed.
Also makes a good medical appliance: if you can hear it while sitting straight up then you must have big ears and good hearing :)
