 Functional basket with one drawback Jul 26, 2010
This basket was easy to install and is a good fit for my cruiser. Even with brake and shifter cables in front, the basket mounts and dismounts seamlessly. The only drawback is that when I hit a big bump, the handle jumps and dismounts the basket. There is no locking mechanism on the handle to keep it down. So I put a thin rubber band around the handle through the mesh and locked it down with a carabiner. Problem solved. An otherwise sturdy and functional basket.

I found this product easy to install on my bike, of good size, easy to release and I love the idea of using it for a shopping basket. Its design makes it simple to avoid plastic bags by bringing it into any store--as they expect you to do in France. It even looks good on the bike! And it seems quite sturdy as well.

The girl who created tis has a line of designer baskets she made, her family had made bikes for a hundred years in Europe the girls use these (only fancier and color accented) to shop and ride. this one I bought locally for 30 and I read on line about them good deal and you can put your fast food on top of everything in the basket and eat from it too

you be very very happy if you buy this basket, it will fit a bike much better then electric scooter with one hand you relly cood pot it in and take it out

I had someone else install it for me... I'm mechanically challenged and have arthritis in my hands. He said it was easy, took minutes. It's very clever and well made as other reviews have said but always an issue for me is ease of use because of the arthritis. I have absolutely no problems releasing, reattaching or using it. Perfect size, just everything is perfect.
