Very nice pedals, but a little too big Aug 19, 2009
By Travis Rassat I only have about 100 miles on so far, but I like these pedals a lot. I feel I need to provide a disclaimer: Thus far, I have been only logging miles on asphalt with my full suspension 26" mountain bike, so I can't say how they are off-road yet. I've used them while riding to work, pulling the kids around in their bike trailer, and in one triathlon. These have not seen any real dirt yet. I probably am not the typical purchaser for these, either; I bought them because I'm not comfortable using clipless pedals or anything like that. When I do get off road, I ride single track trails in Indiana - no big drop downhill or anything like that.
With that said, overall these are very nice pedals. On the positive side, these are really light and the screw-in traction pins are very effective with my hiking boots or running shoes. They really feel safe in that aspect. I like the shape if I slip off because there are no real sharp edges - it is very nicely machined. I'm really impressed with the workmanship and finish. So far, no squeaks or noise. They seem very strong and as if they could withstand some pretty heavy hits.
My only gripe is that they are pretty wide (I don't have them handy where I can measure them, and I don't know how they compare to others), and I have to be especially careful when riding to work or when I race triathlons to not lean too much or I'll scrape them on the asphalt while pedaling through a corner. I've already scraped them up pretty badly this way. I might have to consider something different for racing purposes, but for normal riding, this is no big deal.
Overall, I think these are a great pedal at a fair price and I would recommend them to anybody looking for a good quality platform.

Excellent pedals Aug 22, 2011

Excellent pedals, lightweight yet strong magnesium. Sealed bearings. Traction due to the studs is excellent. Don't plan on riding your bike barefoot on the beach with these pedals though. For the price, they are the best in class. Most pedals with sealed bearing are much more expensive. No reflectors but has holes to mount reflector strips.

Excellent pedals, smooth, and lightweight to boot. Nov 14, 2011

Love them. Looked at a number of different pedals before deciding on these. Great pedals. I don't care for clip pedals and love larger stomper type pedals. I bought one pair of these to try. I liked them so much I converted all my bikes to them. The bearings are nice and smooth, the pedals are super light for their size, and the pins provide a good amont of stickiness. My first pair of these are still running strong after several years of daily commutes.

Great pedals! Jul 23, 2011
By David K. Glaze I've been completely happy with these pedals. They are sturdy, very lightweight, and your shoes stick to them very well for mountain biking.

By M Sticky pedals. Really light.Definitely an improvement from my last pedals. Good for those who don't want to go the clipless route.
